Where are you from originally?
I’m from Provo, Utah. I moved there when I was three. I lived in Utah County up until we moved to Colorado two and a half years ago. We moved here for my husband’s job. I love it here, but I also love Utah!
Tell us a little bit about your family…
I’ve been married for almost 10 year two little boys, 7 and 2 years old.
What do you want us to know about your cake business?
I’ve always loved to bake, but I didn’t get into the “fancy” cakes until December of 2018. I tried a specialty 3-layer cake out and I was hooked! I’ve just kept plugging along since then! I do have a history of baking in my family though. My grandpa was a baker and owned a bakery and my uncle later took it over. I like to think it’s in my blood.
I specialize in cakes and cupcakes. I typically make 6 inch 3-layer cakes, but am happy to do other sizes (4 inch, 8 inch)! I love decorating cupcakes as much as cakes. Piping may just be my favorite technique, but it’s hard to choose. I love trying new techniques and styles! I offer a wide variety of flavors from the classics to fruity pebble, s’mores, berry, banana, cotton candy, biscoff, mint, caramel, peanut butter, and more. It’s hard to choose a favorite, but I will always love and never turn down a piece of chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream!
What are some of your favorite things to do around town?
I love going to parks with my boys and we love discovering new ones!
What’s your favorite local restaurant?
We love getting take-out from Heaven Dragon in Thornton (120th and Colorado)! We get it nearly once a week!
Tell us something people might be surprised to know about you?
I was a dancer from age 7-22; it was my life! I danced professionally for two seasons, then moved on with life.I did a recreation management study abroad in New Zealand while attending Brigham Young University. It was the most incredible place and experience!
